FAR NORTH DISTRICT PLAN
Plan Change 4: Schedule of Notable Trees and Schedule
of Historic Sites, Building and Objects (Pioneer Village)
Decisions on Submissions
Pursuant to Clauses 10(4) and 11(1) of the First Schedule to the
Resource Management 1991, public notice is hereby given that
at the Far North District Council meeting of 9 December 2010,
the Council approved the recommendations from the Independent
Hearing Commissioner made in respect of Plan Change 4: Schedule
of Notable Trees and Schedule of Historic Sites, Buildings and
Objects (Pioneer Village).
Plan Change 4 proposes to amend Appendix 1D Schedule of
Notable Trees by correcting a number of legal descriptions,
deletions of existing trees, and include further additions to this list.
In addition, a number of historic buildings located at the Pioneer
Village, Kaikohe, have been proposed for inclusion to Appendix
1E, Schedule of Historic Sites, Buildings and Objects.
Copies of the decision on Plan Change 4: Schedule of Notable
Trees and Schedule of Historic Sites, Buildings and Objects
(Pioneer Village), are available for inspection at Far North
District Council Service Centres, Libraries, Council's website:
www.fndc.govt.nz or will be made available on request.
Only those parties who made a submission on Plan Change 4 are
entitled to lodge an appeal with the Environment Court and must
do so within 30 working days of service of notice of the decision.
The appeal closing date is 25 March 2011.

The proposal is a Discretionary Activity under rules 220.127.116.11.1 Building

Hours of Operation of the Far North District Plan.
The application is to to extend permitted hours of operation, to operate
burnout events, to install and operate floodlights and upgrade to the
existing access at 5406 State Highway 12, Kaikohe 0473.
