BAY CHRONICLE, MARCH 24, 2011
TE PUKE | Vacancy 3920 & KERIKERI | Vacancy 3919
Our kiwifruit breeding activities are expanding rapidly
following the establishment of a consortium cementing Plant
& Food Research and ZESPRI as partners in the world's
largest research and development programme on kiwifruit
cultivars. New products are being developed from extensive
progeny trials which generate large volumes of data. To
manage and support this expansion we are developing and
expanding our technical capability through appointments at
our Te Puke and Kerikeri Research Centres.
Both positions will be focused on organising and coordinating field operations and
the collection, management and preparation of data for analysis. At Kerikeri, there
will also be some involvement in plant propagation. They require a relevant tertiary
qualification or equivalent technical experience in the horticultural sector, ideally
in the kiwifruit industry. Skills in data management and the organisation of field
based operations will be critical.

Applications close 1 April 2011.
