Far North District Council is offering two student Scholarships for 2012 and is calling for applications from students
interested in careers in planning. The scholarship programme includes fnancial support, university holiday work
relevant to the students chosen course of study, and full time employment when they complete their study.
Applicants can be students who are just beginning their university studies, or part way through their degree.
To qualify students must:
Be current residents and have attended secondary school in the Far North District; although they may be
currently studying in another centre
Be a New Zealand citizen or a New Zealand permanent resident
Hold the National Certifcate in Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3
Hold other qualifcations recognised for University Entrance, or have partially completed tertiary qualifcations
that in general have met a high standard
They must also be prepared to work for a minimum bonded period of two years
