We are seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified person to lead our
Biodiversity Team in the Kauri Coast Area. Reporting to the Area Manager as an
effective Programme Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of rangers, delivering
valuable conservation outcomes in a range of environments.
The successful applicant will be an experienced leader with a strong biodiversity
background, committed to supporting the Department's vision -- investing
in conservation is to invest in a prosperous future in which native species and
ecosystems will survive and thrive.
Ideally you will have:
• Strong leadership skills whereby you can demonstrate success in leading teams to
achieve agreed goals
• Experience in working strongly and collegially within a variety a groups
• Experience in managing significant budgets
• The ability to translate strategic goals and national priorities into operational plans
• A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience and achievements in science or
natural heritage management is desirable
