Enrolment at Riverview Primary School is governed by an
enrolment scheme, details of which are available from the
The board has estimated that 2 places are available for out-
of-zone new entrant students for Term 2, 2012.
The exact number of places will depend on the number of
applications received from students who live within the
school s home zone.
The school Enrolment Scheme, including the criteria for the
order of priority for the ballot, is on the school website
If the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the number
of places available, students will be selected by ballot. If a
ballot for out-of-zone places is required, it will be held on
Thursday 29 March 2012. Parents will be informed of the
outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot

CLIMATE CHANGE IWI LEADERS
GROUP REGIONAL HUI
The Climate Change Iwi Leaders Group (CCILG) invites Maori
Trusts and Incorporations, Whanau and Hapu to attend one
of a series of regional hui to be held at

The hui agenda will include:
• An update on the development of the CCILG;
• An update on what has occurred in the climate change area
as it effects Iwi/Maori in the last 18 months;
• Proposed Crown / Iwi (CCILG) next 12 to 18 month work
• A review on the recently released ETS Review and
discussion on potential changes in legislation.
These discussions will be of particular importance to our Maori
farming and forestry industries, although the effect of these will
also reach to other sectors and directly to our communities.

2012 WINTER RURAL TRAVEL FUND
Sport New Zealand and Sport Northland have made available to the Council a combined fund to be used
to encourage more children to participate in sports by providing assistance with travel to venues. The fund
is allocated by the Council's Community Boards twice annually, for winter and summer sports. This round is
for sports that will take place during the winter season.
The travel funding must be used:
• For either more students to access current opportunities or for students who currently participate to
access new opportunities
• For either during school or out-of-school times
• For either primary or secondary school aged students
• In partnership with a school or club
• For travel to regular sporting competitions within the district.
We are looking for applicants to match money from this fund ie. the amount being applied for must not
total more than 50% of the total cost of your travel costs (please note you must provide evidence of the
other 50% - either letters from other funders confirming funding or bank accounts from you as the applicant
proving funding is available).
Application forms are available from all Far North District Council Service Centres, and all Far North Sport
Applications should be directed to Aisha Huriwai, Advisory Services Officer, Far North District
Council, Private Bag 752, Memorial Ave, Kaikohe. Deadline dates and funding allocation

CIVIL DEFENCE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
Community Response Plan -- Kerikeri and Waipapa
A public meeting is to be held in Kerikeri to initiate the development of a
Community Response Plan for the Kerikeri and Waipapa Communities.
The meeting will include a presentation on Civil Defence Emergency
Management and focus on community resilience for both the Kerikeri
and Waipapa Communities.
All stakeholder Groups and interested members of the public are
encouraged to attend.
