2012 KAIKOHE COMMUNITY
Once again the Kaikohe Community Xmas lunch for more
than 75 Kuia, Kaumatua, Elderly, and Mental Health clients
was held at the Kaikohe Baptist Church.
The lunch was prepared by a group of volunteers who
worked tirelessly to provide a hot meal for our Kaumatua on
a wet and windy Xmas Day.
Big thanks to the businesses of Kaikohe, and individuals, for
their generosity in helping with costs, funds, food, gifts,
music, crockery, tablecloths. And lastly a special thank you
to our merry group of volunteers.

The 46th Annual Bay of Islands
to Whangaroa Yacht Race -
26 January 2013
The Bay of Islands Yacht Club is hosting this annual historic
coastal race, from the beautiful Bay of Islands to Whangaroa.
We are looking for many entrants, multi-hulls, sports boats,
trailer yachts, cruisers and visiting boats from overseas.
Come along and join us for this annual event. Our major
sponsor is Bay of Islands Marine Centre, with the Bay of
Islands Yacht Club sponsoring the "grab bags", this is a prize
drawn at the prize-giving -- every boat has a chance to win!
We have racing for:
Division A (Racing) for those who like the competition of a
Division B (Cruising) for those that want to participate in a
more leisurely manner.
This year there will be a prize for the first "all ladies crew to

the Bay of Islands and invite them to come and join us and
enjoy not only another magnificent part of the New Zealand
coastline, but also to participate in the Bay of Island s longest
standing yacht race.

0800 breakfast at the BOI Yacht Club. The cost is $10 per
1000 race starts
1800 dinner at the Marlin Hotel
2000 prize-giving -- line honours, handicaps, ladies crew, spot

Rawene Primary School invites any new enrolments for 2013

and our office will be open from 9.30am-1.30pm from the 23rd

Any Year 12 or Year 13 students who want to be a peer
mentor this year must complete course confirmation on
Thursday 24th January.
Your training day will be Tuesday 29th January.
The Main Office will be open for enrolments and enquiries
8.15am - 4.30pm, Tuesday 22 January onwards.
We have limited places available for out-of-zone
enrolments; please contact us to make an appointment.
The Student Centre will be open for uniform and stationery

29 January at 6.00pm as a follow up from last year's meeting
regarding cycle trail progress.

next round of the Creative Communities Scheme.

PROPOSAL TO DECLARE SURPLUS

Whangaroa -- Lot 1 DP 185404
Pursuant to the 2012/22 Long Term Plan (Volume II, page 206,
Priority 4), Notice is hereby given that the Far North District Council
has identified Lot 1 DP 185404, locally known as the "Clansman
Reserve" in Whangaroa as potentially surplus to requirements with a
view to dispose of the property.
Council now seeks input from the local community through the Bay of
Islands -- Whangaroa Community Board. Any person wishing to submit
on or object to the property being declared surplus is invited to do so from
the date of publication of this notice. Submissions should be delivered to
any Council office or posted to Private Bag 752, Kaikohe, or faxed to

should include your name, address, telephone number and email
address as appropriate.
